Ohio

We had a beautiful day of driving weather.

We arrived in Steubenville Ohio and made it to Mass as Saint Peters.

We met up with Katie Thomas, a new friend of ours who will be entering religious life this summer.

She is a very special person, please pray for her.

Rebecca and I used to go to daily and Sunday Mass at St. Peter's! They also have perpetual adoration downstairs where I had an hour on Mondays; the memories!

Why call it a Pilgrimage and not a Vacation?

For us, this will be much more than a vacation for a variety of reasons.

We believe that God is asking us to move on once again. We are not sure where and when, but possibly soon.

That is what this trip is about, a sincere discernment and listening to God's voice as we travel.

We plan to begin each day with Mass, where ever we are.

Each morning will include the family praying morning prayer (Liturgy of the Hours) and ending each day with Evening prayer.

12 pm each day with be set aside for praying the Rosary.

3 pm each day will include the Divine Mercy Chaplet.

Grounded in prayer, we hope to keep our eyes open and ask God to lead us.

I have felt for sometime now that we have been called to be missionaries, and because of such a call, we will have faith that God will show us the way.

Many stops along our path will include visiting with family as well as the many and varied friends that we have made over the years while on mission trips, and as usual, we will make new friends each and every day.

This trip is not just about having fun (i.e a vacation), although it will be an exciting adventure for sure, it really is about listening to God and following his call for our lives.
